It is with deep sadness that the Umatilla High School community announces the sudden passing of Ben Nash, a beloved educator, mentor, coach, and friend who dedicated more than two decades of his life to serving students and the school community.
Mr. Nash was described as the heart of the AICE program and an essential part of the Bulldog family. Throughout his 22 years in Lake County, he positively impacted the lives of thousands through his commitment to teaching, coaching, and mentoring young people.
Those who knew Ben Nash remember him as a dedicated professional who went beyond the classroom to support and inspire his students. His passion for education, encouragement, and genuine care for others created lasting connections with countless students, colleagues, and families.
His influence extended far beyond academics, as he served as a trusted coach, mentor, and friend to many. The legacy he built through his years of service will continue through the lives of the people he helped and the students he inspired.
