Kelly Osbourne shared an emotional tribute on Wednesday as she marked the first anniversary of the death of her father, Ozzy Osbourne. The heartfelt message reflected on the profound grief she has experienced since losing the legendary rock icon.
In a lengthy letter posted on social media, Kelly wrote, “One year ago today, the world changed forever.” She expressed how deeply she continues to feel her father’s presence in everyday moments, including the quiet, the wind, his music, and even the lingering memory of his cologne.
Kelly described the most painful part of her loss as no longer being able to touch her father, hold his hand, or feel the sense of safety he always provided. She also shared the simple moments she misses most, such as cuddling with him on the sofa, watching television together, hearing his jokes and complaints, and receiving his affectionate requests for a kiss.
The tribute highlighted the special bond between Ozzy and Kelly, who were often seen together publicly throughout his life. Kelly said her father’s legacy lives on through her son, Sidney, whose smile, spirit, and mannerisms frequently remind her of his grandfather.
She praised Ozzy as a “true working-class hero,” celebrating the immense impact his music, kindness, and strength had on countless people around the world. Kelly added that there would never be another person like him.
Ozzy Osbourne died on July 22, 2025, at the age of 76. His death was attributed to a heart attack, with coronary artery disease and Parkinson’s disease listed as contributing factors. The “Crazy Train” hitmaker had been diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease in 2003.
At the time of his passing, Ozzy’s family said he was surrounded by loved ones and “surrounded by love.” Kelly concluded her tribute by promising to carry her father with her for the rest of her life, writing, “I love you beyond words, beyond time, beyond this life.”
